Team Controls Automatic Bypass Valve 22mm – TC-ABVST

The Team Controls TC-ABVST Automatic Bypass Valve is designed to maintain the correct water flow through central heating systems, protecting boilers, pumps and system components while improving overall heating efficiency. It is ideal for installations fitted with thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) and systems requiring a boiler bypass to allow pump overrun operation after motorised zone valves have closed.

As TRVs gradually close when room temperatures increase, system resistance rises and water flow through the heating circuit can become restricted. The TC-ABVST automatically responds to increasing differential pressure by opening the bypass route, maintaining the required flow rate through the boiler and ensuring stable system operation.

By maintaining minimum circulation, the valve helps reduce unwanted system noise caused by closing TRVs and zone valves, prevents excessive pump stress and protects the boiler heat exchanger from damage caused by insufficient water flow.

Featuring an adjustable and lockable pressure setting, the TC-ABVST can be accurately configured to meet the requirements of different heating systems. Installation is straightforward using the integrated 22mm compression connections, with the valve fitted between the flow and return pipework after the circulating pump.
