Straight Inline Automatic Bypass Valve Differential Pressure 22mm

The Team Controls ABBVST Automatic Bypass Valve is designed to maintain the correct water flow through central heating systems, helping to protect boilers and circulating pumps while improving overall system efficiency. It is ideal for systems fitted with thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) and where a boiler bypass is required to allow pump overrun after motorised zone valves have closed.

As thermostatic radiator valves begin to close in response to rising room temperatures, system resistance increases and water flow is restricted. The ABBVST automatically opens as the differential pressure rises, maintaining the required flow through the boiler and ensuring consistent system performance.

By maintaining a minimum flow rate, the valve helps reduce system noise caused by closing TRVs and zone valves, prevents excessive pump wear, and protects the boiler's heat exchanger from damage caused by insufficient water circulation.

The valve features an adjustable, lockable pressure setting, allowing it to be configured to suit the requirements of your heating system. Installation is simple using the integrated 22mm compression connections and should be fitted between the flow and return pipework after the circulating pump.
